    An expanding number of companies have proposed tar sands and fracking gas pipelines through Wet’suwet’en territory.

    In particular, the company TransCanada is still working on building the Coastal GasLink pipeline without consent from the Wet’suwet’en.

    To preserve the territory for future generations, Freda Huson and a small group of others moved back to the land and built a cabin in the exact place where pipelines had been planned.
