Right Livelihood is looking for a full-time maternity cover communications officer. The role will be based in our Stockholm office and will assist with English-language communications and media outreach.

Purpose of the role
To help boost the profile of Right Livelihood, we are looking for an experienced communications professional to assist with English-language communications and media outreach. As an integral part of a small but growing international team, this role will require both autonomy and strong teamwork to meet organisational needs. You will report to the Head of Communications.
Main responsibilities
- Producing original content about Laureates
- Writing and editing press releases, newsletters and other communications materials
- Drafting and editing social media posts
- Coordinating press outreach around Right Livelihood Laureates
Required experience and qualifications
- More than 4 years of professional experience with press work
- Native-level communication skills in English
- Professional writing and editing experience in English
Desirable experience and qualifications
- Understanding of the work of Right Livelihood Laureates
- Professional working proficiency in another language, including Swedish
Terms of employment
The Communications Officer is a full-time position on a maternity cover contract. The position is based at our head office in Stockholm and requires occasional travel. Right Livelihood has a collective bargaining agreement through Fremia with Akademikerförbundet SSR and UNIONEN in Sweden.
Starting date: March 31, 2025
End of maternity cover: April 1, 2026
