Right Livelihood is happy to welcome Jenny Jansson Pearce, who is joining us as Deputy Director. Bringing over a decade of high-level leadership experience, Jansson Pearce is taking on an essential role in steering Right Livelihood’s operations.
Jansson Pearce’s previous experience has focused on international development cooperation, social change, democracy and human rights. From 2017 to 2021, she served as Managing Director of SKL International (SKLI), a non-profit company owned by The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) that develops and implements international development projects to strengthen democracy and good governance at the local level.
Prior to that position, she was the Secretary General of the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights, which promotes human rights in Sweden and internationally. Jansson Pearce has also worked at organisations supporting youth empowerment and Sweden’s Ministry of Justice.
“I have followed and been impressed by the work of Right Livelihood for many years,” Jansson Pearce said.
“The ability to year after year identify forward-looking, courageous change-makers for the Award as well as supporting and increasing the attention worldwide for their work is inspiring. I am very happy to now join this courage-powered community and look forward to contributing to advancing the work for a just, peaceful and sustainable world.”
