2020 has certainly been a challenging year, but overcoming obstacles and finding alternative solutions is what we are passionate about, and so our Laureates. This year, we invite you to enjoy the 41st edition of the Right Livelihood Award Presentation in your own home. The presentation might be slightly different, but the Laureates and their achievements are as extraordinary as ever!

This year, we are honouring:
Imprisoned human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh “for her fearless activism, at great personal risk, to promote political freedoms and human rights in Iran.”
Civil rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson “for his inspiring endeavour to reform the US criminal justice system and advance racial reconciliation in the face of historic trauma.”
Indigenous rights and environmental activist Lottie Cunningham Wren of Nicaragua “for her ceaseless dedication to the protection of indigenous lands and communities from exploitation and plunder.”
Human rights activist Ales Bialiatski and the non-governmental organisation Human Rights Center “Viasna” “for their resolute struggle for the realisation of democracy and human rights in Belarus.”
