Karaca’s court trial

The Right Livelihood Award Foundation sent board member and international lawyer Agneta Johansson to Turkey to observe the fourth hearing of the trial of 90-year-old Laureate Hayrettin Karaca. Mr. Karaca and his fellow defendants were accused of illegal trespass and disturbing the business area of the mining company Koza Altin Madencilik A.S.

On November 20th, Koza Altin withdrew all charges against Hayrettin Karaca but will continue to press charges against the other defendants.
