Universidad Austral de Chile

Universidad Austral is one of the leading universities in Chile in matters of scientific research. Currently, it has around 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

In November 2013, the university became the first RLC Campus in Latin America. It had been an initiative of Chilean Laureate Manfred Max-Neef, who was Rector and Professor at the Economics Institute until he passed away in August 2019.

    The Right Livelihood Centre of the University of Zurich, acts as a hub between Right Livelihood, the University of Zurich (UZH) and the public. The Centre contributes to teaching, continuing education and public relations to make Laureates’ knowledge and practical work accessible.

    The Bangkok Campus is hosted by the School for Wellbeing Studies and Research, an independent action-research platform, centre of advocacy and informal higher learning lab. The Campus was established in 2009.

  • Tata Institute of Social Sciences

    The Centre for Livelihoods and Social Innovation is a centre in the School of Social Work at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences that aims to develop meaningful livelihood initiatives for the poor and marginalised in the country. In May 2014, the Centre joined as an RLC Campus in Asia.

    The RLC Campus in Bonn is based at the Center for Development Research (ZEF), an independent research institute at the University of Bonn. It became an RLC Campus in 2010 and since 2014, it has hosted the Global Secretariat of the College.

  • University of California Santa Cruz

    The RLC Campus is hosted by the Institute for Social Transformation at the University of California, which develops research-based solutions to urgent problems. The Campus has kept its links with Kresge College, where it was started in November 2013.

    In 2009, the Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS) became RLC’s first European Campus. LUCSUS is a platform for education, research and cooperation inside and outside academia on questions related to sustainable development.

    The Campus at the University of Port Harcourt is based at the Faculty of Social Sciences and is co-hosted by the Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF), a think-tank and advocacy organisation founded by 2010 Laureate Nnimmo Bassey.
