Are you a visual communicator who wants to showcase incredible change-makers? We’re looking for a Communications Officer (Design & Multimedia Production).

About the role

We are looking for a Communications Officer who brings together strong editorial instincts and a sharp eye for visual storytelling. You will be a core member of the Communications Team, contributing across content production, brand, and digital channels, and working closely with the Head of Communications and the Digital Communications Manager to support the organisation’s external presence and internal communications needs.

Key responsibilities

Content & Communications

  • Support the development and execution of communications campaigns in collaboration with the wider team and other departments
  • Contribute to the organisation’s editorial planning, ensuring content is timely, on-brand, and audience-appropriate

Visual Identity & Design

  • Lead the production of graphic design assets for both digital and print, maintaining consistency with brand guidelines across the organisation
  • Produce and edit photo and video content for social media and other channels, including conducting interviews and covering events
  • Oversee the organisation’s visual archive, ensuring assets are well-organised, accessible, and correctly rights-managed
  • Support the maintenance and visual coherence of the website and social media channels

Brand & Coordination

  • Act as a day-to-day guardian of the organisation’s visual identity, advising colleagues on brand application and flagging inconsistencies
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers such as photographers, videographers, and printers

What we’re looking for

Required skills and experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Familiarity with managing a visual identity or brand guidelines in an organisational context
  • Skilled in recording video and taking still images
  • Full professional proficiency in English

Desired skills and experience

  • Understanding of copyright and image rights
  • Swedish language skills

What we offer

This is a full-time, substitute position until 9 June 2028, with an immediate start date. This position is based at the head office in Gamla Enskede, Stockholm, with occasional travel to our office in Geneva, Switzerland. We have a flexible working style where those who can have the opportunity to work from home two days a week, to facilitate the balance between work and private life.

Right Livelihood is part of a collective bargaining agreement in Sweden (Tjänstemän Fremia med Unionen och Akademikerförbunden) that includes, among other things, an occupational pension. You will be eligible to receive up to 4 000 SEK health benefit per year. 

The salary band for this position is 34 000-43 000 SEK per month and we apply individual salary settings in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement.
