Nuclear accident in Japan

We are sending our sympathies to the victims of the earth quake, Tsunami and nuclear accident in Japan. The nuclear accident is tragic but could have been prevented if politicians had listened to the many critics of nuclear power.

In 1997, the French and Japanese independent scientists and nuclear critics Mycle Schneider and Jinzaburo Takagi were honored with the Right Livelihood Award. Mycle Schneider is right now constantly on the phone giving interviews about the Japanese accident. He can be reached at +33-1-69 83 23 79 (FOR JOURNALISTS ONLY). Takagi passed away in 2000, but his Citizens’ Nuclear Information Centre is actively monitoring the situation in Japan.
