Legal expert Joshua Castellino joins Right Livelihood’s Board

Minority rights expert and law professor Joshua Castellino has joined Right Livelihood’s Board for a 4-year term.

Castellino, co-executive director of Minority Rights Group International, brings a wealth of legal knowledge about minority rights, access to justice and the interplay between security, development and human rights. He’s also a Professor of International and Comparative Law at Derby University and a Visiting Professor at Oxford University and the College of Europe (Natolin, Poland). Previously, he served as the Dean of the School of Law at Middlesex University, which he founded in 2012.

“Right Livelihood has stood for so long for incredible values in the fight for humanity and for a better world, and to be able to be a part of the Board now and to think through the strategic direction and the work of the organisation in the difficult times ahead is a true honour,” Castellino said.

“I hope that the Right Livelihood Award inspires ordinary people towards greatness.”
