“Academics need to engage more in what we at the Right Livelihood College call the five sparks of change: Supporting projects of hope, finding solutions, honouring courage, walking the talk and realizing the impossible.”, RLC Director Anwar Fazal said in a recent interview when asked if too many researchers still lived in an Ivory Tower.
From June 2 to 10, international students and three Right Livelihood Award Laureates, Nnimmo Bassey,Zafrullah Chowdhury and Anwar Fazal, will come together in Bonn, Germany, for a workshop on “Mobilization for Change: Social Movements in a Developing World”.
The workshop is organized by the Center for Development Research (ZEF), which is the Right Livelihood College Campus in Bonn, and is supported by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).
