Who are the change-makers receiving the 2026 Right Livelihood Award?

You can find out on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The 2026 Right Livelihood Laureates will be announced at 6 am Stockholm time (Central European Summer Time), followed by a press conference livestreamed at 8 am.

You can follow the announcement live on YouTube or on our website. We will also post in-depth information about the Laureates and their work.

This year, for the 2026 Right Livelihood Award, 200 nominations from 72 countries were considered. Through an open nomination process, members of the public could submit individuals or organisations for consideration. Following a thorough research process, the Jury makes the final decision on the year’s Laureates.

We are celebrating the new Laureates during an Award Presentation in Stockholm on December 1, 2026.
